How to join a live quiz
All you need is a browser, an internet connection and a game code from your host. You can play without an account or an app.
Join a game- Enter the code. Open Play and enter the six-digit code shared by the host.
- Choose a nickname. Join the lobby and wait for the host to start.
- Answer on your screen. Read each question and submit your answer before the timer ends. Follow the reveals and leaderboard to see how you did.

How to host a live quiz
One host, a quiz and a group of curious people. Here is how your first game works.
- Step 1
Pick a quiz or make your own
Choose a public quiz and select Host now, or build one with your own questions. Sign in with an email link or Google to create and host. You can copy a public quiz to change its questions first.
- Step 2
Share the six-digit game code
Open the lobby on your computer and share the code. Everyone visits QandA.fun on their phone, enters the code and chooses a nickname. Players can join without signing up or installing an app.
- Step 3
Play together, then see the podium
Start when everyone is ready. Players answer on their own screens while you guide the questions and reveals. Correct answers earn points; the default scoring also rewards speed. Finish with the final standings.

In a live game, players submit their answers before the timer ends. You reveal the result together and move on to the next question.

Before your first live quiz
A few practical answers for hosts and players.
Do players need an account?
No. Players enter the six-digit game code and choose a nickname to join. They can play without an email address or a Google account. The host needs to sign in to create a quiz or start a game.
Is QandA free, and how many people can play?
QandA is currently free to create, host and play. A game supports up to 100 players, and a quiz can contain up to 100 questions.
Do we need to download an app?
No. QandA runs in a web browser. A computer works well for hosting, and players can use phones, tablets or computers. Everyone needs an internet connection.
Can I use a ready-made quiz and change it?
Yes. Open a public quiz in Explore and choose Host now to run it as it is. To change the questions, sign in and choose Duplicate to my quizzes. Your copy starts private, so you can edit it before sharing.
Can we play remotely?
Yes. Share the game code with your group and use your usual voice or video call to chat. Questions and answer choices appear on players’ own screens. You can also share the host screen so everyone can watch the reveals and leaderboard together.
What kinds of questions can I create?
Use single choice, multiple choice, true or false, open text, ordering and numeric sliders. You can add images, audio and video, choose a theme, and adjust the time allowed for each question.
Can I try my quiz before inviting people?
Yes. In the quiz editor, open the Host menu and choose Test play. You get the host view and a phone-sized player view side by side, so you can check the questions and pacing yourself.
What if I want to play without hosting?
Open Play to look for public lobbies and auto rooms, or enter a code from a host. Availability depends on which games people have opened. Auto rooms run their rounds automatically once enough players are present.
